How a visit moves

1Step 1

Check the patient in

Check-in confirms consent was obtained, intake forms are complete and vitals are due. Active intake and consent forms go out automatically, so the patient can finish them on their phone. Then Dolce creates the encounter for the provider.

2Step 2

Review, photos, then treatment

Start the visit from Today and it opens with the patient and service loaded. Review shows allergies, history and the chief concern in the patient's own words. Add before photos, then chart the treatment on the template and face map.

3Step 3

Dolce AI drafts the note

At the Note step, Dolce AI drafts the SOAP note from what you charted, or from what you type or dictate. It suggests ICD-10 and CPT codes too. You read the draft and edit anything that needs it.

4Step 4

Sign, then check out

The provider signs and locks the note with a typed e-signature, and checkout stays blocked until that happens. Then the front desk checks out the visit with tip, promo code, membership discount or split payment.

Can the front desk check out before the provider signs?

No. Checkout is blocked until the chart is signed. Once the provider signs and locks the note, checkout opens.

Does Dolce AI sign the note or check out the visit?

No. Dolce AI drafts the note at the Note step and stops there. The provider reviews, edits and signs, and checkout only opens after that signature.

What if my browser closes in the middle of a chart?

Dolce autosaves your draft as you work. When you come back, it tells you it recovered text from your last session and asks you to review it before saving. You also get a warning if you try to leave with unsaved changes.

Where do I start a visit?

From the Today screen. Start or resume the visit there, and it opens with the patient and service already loaded.

What does check-in confirm?

Consent obtained, which is required, plus intake forms completed and vitals to be taken. When check-in is done, Dolce creates the encounter record the provider charts in.

Does the workspace work for lasers, IVs and facials?

Yes. The Treatment step uses the chart template that matches the service, including laser and energy, IV therapy, microneedling and RF, and facial and skincare. Each template shows only the fields that apply.
