Lot numbers matter most on the day you need to find one. The product, lot and units on each block flow into the note Dolce AI drafts, so the record names exactly what went in, and you confirm it when you sign.

Picked once per block

Set the lot on the treatment block and every dot uses it. Dolce AI carries it into the draft, so you don't type it twice.

Named in the drafted note

Dolce AI writes the product, lot and units into the SOAP draft, so the note matches the chart.

Deducted when you sign

How it works

How a lot gets tracked

1Step 1

Add a product and lot

When a new box arrives, add it from the chart with Add product & initial lot. Enter the product name, lot number and expiration date. You don't leave the visit to do it.

2Step 2

Pick the lot per block

Start a neurotoxin or filler block and pick the lot from the list. Every dot in the block is tied to that lot, and tapping a zone shows live lot inventory for the product.

3Step 3

The lot lands in the note

Click Generate SOAP and Dolce AI drafts the note with the product, lot and units from each block. The neurotoxin chart keeps product, lot number, expiration and dilution too. If you ever need to know which lot a patient received, it's in their chart.

4Step 4

Sign to deduct usage

Usage comes off the lot when the provider signs the chart. Drafts and unsigned charts don't change your counts.

Is there a separate inventory dashboard or low-stock alert?
No. Dolce doesn't have a standalone inventory screen or low-stock alerts. Lot tracking lives in the chart, where you add products and lots, pick a lot per block and see usage deducted on sign.
How does lot tracking connect to Dolce AI?
The product, lot and units on each treatment block flow into the SOAP note Dolce AI drafts. You check the note and sign it, and usage comes off the lot. Dolce AI doesn't forecast stock or place orders.
When is product deducted?
When the provider signs the chart. Until then, a draft doesn't change your counts.
Can I track lots for filler, Kybella and Sculptra too?
Yes. Every treatment block takes a product and lot, whichever preset you use. The lot stays on the chart with the treatment.
What do I need to set up first?
Nothing separate. Add a product and its first lot from the chart the first time you use it. You can also set a product on each service in Admin, with price per unit and default units.
Why does the lot number matter?
If a manufacturer issues a recall or a patient has a reaction, you need to know which lot they received. With the lot on each treatment block, that answer is in the patient's chart.
